Case study

Built between 1910 and 1914, this red-brick Swedish architectural designed building, was one of the most important properties belonging to the Swedish church outside of Sweden.
It was used for congregational activities as well as a nursery and primary school for children aged between 3 and 13 from the ex-pat Swedish community in Paris.
The main project objectives were:

  • A complete restructuring of the building to improve the conditions for public use as well as staff working conditions.
  • The spatial reorganisation of the existing functionality in sync with the needs of the parish community.

The challenge consisted of preserving the historic and cultural characteristics of this structure.
